A Star Cruiser with its ion engine at full throttle, somewhere out there... 
After discovering Apophysis, I've been playing a lot with it. Background made combining three diferent 'star clusters' generated with Apophysis. Ion engine blast also by Apophysis. Starship made with MicroLathe 1.5.3. Everything has been joined and manipulated with The Gimp 2.0.4
Full view it's highly recommended. Image suitable as wallpaper.

That is some very interesting postwork! This has some interesting patterns in it you can exploit. Keep playing with this one. Make the trangles smaller and flatter and see what happens. Glad you are enjoying the program! Keep on playing with it.
